Will the booth stay warm when the door keeps opening?

Yes. Booths carry a through-wall HVAC unit or a split system plus extra heat, sized for a door that opens all shift. Glass choices and insulation are part of that calculation, so the guard stays comfortable in January and in July.

What size guard booth do we need?

It comes down to how many people staff it, what equipment sits inside, and whether you want a restroom. A single guard with a monitor fits a small booth; a scale house with two clerks needs more counter and storage. We size it during the consultation.

Can we move the booth to a new gate later?

Yes. Booths ship as one piece, so the same forklift or crane that set it can lift and relocate it when your yard layout or traffic pattern changes.

How a Prefab Guardhouse Gets to Your Gate

Unlike an in-plant office, a booth is built start to finish at the factory. Walls, roof, glass, counters, lighting and HVAC are installed before it ships. On site, it is lifted into place with a forklift or crane and connected to power and data.

Sizes run from a single-person booth to a larger guardhouse with storage and an optional restroom. Glass on all four sides gives the guard sight lines to the lane, the trailer and the camera monitors at once.

Truck traffic drives most of these calls. Logistics buildings along I-71, I-77 and I-480, airport-area operations in Brook Park, and steel and heavy plants in Lorain all run gates that see trailers from early morning through late shifts. Placement matters: the window has to face the driver, and the booth must sit clear of the turning path.
